Operation Ajay: In response to the Israel-Hamas conflict and to evacuate Indian nationals stranded in Israel, the Indian government has commenced 'Operation Ajay.' The first charter flight, carrying 212 Indian citizens, arrived in Delhi on Friday, October 13, from Israel's Ben Gurion Airport, and they were warmly welcomed by Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
A viral video on social media shows passengers onboard the flight chanting slogans of 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai.'
'Operation Ajay' was initiated by the Indian diplomatic mission in Israel to evacuate Indian nationals stranded in the country.
Passengers for the first flight were selected on a "first come, first served" basis. The government is bearing the cost of their repatriation.
The Indian Embassy in Israel has urged its citizens to stay vigilant and follow local security directives, assuring them of continuous efforts to ensure their safety and well-being.
They emphasized, "You are assured that the Embassy is working tirelessly for your safety and welfare. We have all been through very difficult times, but please stay calm and vigilant, and follow local security guidelines."
