Murder of Sidhu Moose Wala: The role of Lawrence Bishnoi in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case is under question. It is a different matter that in the interrogation by Delhi Police, he claims to be innocent.
In the midst of all this, following the directions of the court, the Punjab Police is taking Lawrence to Mansa where he will be produced before the court today. During the hearing on Tuesday, Punjab's Advocate General Anmol Rattan Sidhu told the court that the state would be fully responsible for ensuring the safety of the gangster.
The Punjab government's counsel had told the duty magistrate at Patiala House Court that the Punjab Police would have around 50 policemen. There will be two bulletproof vehicles, 12 vehicles will run on the way, which will clear the way.
Videography of all the roads will be done. Punjab's Advocate General Sidhu said that the order of the Supreme Court would be upheld in such cases.
As per the directions of the court, Bishnoi's medical procedure was done at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital before leaving Delhi.
He will undergo another medical examination before appearing before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mansa, Punjab. While accepting the application of Punjab Police, Duty Metropolitan Magistrate Umar Kumar said that the applicant investigating officer SP Dharamveer Singh and the investigating agency are directed to take all necessary precautions for the safety and security of the accused Lawrence Bishnoi during transit till his appearance.
The Punjab Police had earlier on Tuesday told the court that Lawrence Bishnoi was a key conspirator in the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala and sought the gangster's transit remand for custodial interrogation.
Further, the Punjab Police said that the confessional statements of the arrested accused were recorded during the investigation of Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, in which it was clearly stated that Lawrence Bishnoi had planned to murder Moose Wala.
