The Karnataka High Court will deliver its verdict in the Hijab row in the Karnataka case today i.e. March 15. The court can pronounce the verdict at around 10.30 am regarding the wearing of hijab in the school-college of Muslim girls. At the same time, section 144 has been imposed in many districts for security.

Section 144 imposed in these districts

Section 144 has been imposed in Kalaburagi, Belgaum and Chikkaballapura of Karnataka regarding the Hijab row. Section 144 is in force from Monday 8 pm to 6 am on 19 March. Apart from this, all educational institutions in the Kalaburagi district will remain closed today i.e. on March 15. Earlier, there has been a lot of uproar in the state regarding the Hijab issue.

Hearing was completed in February itself

It is worth mentioning that the Karnataka High Court had completed the hearing on all the petitions related to the Hijab row on the 25th of February last month. After the hearing, the court had reserved its decision which the court is going to hear today. During the hearing, the Karnataka High Court had heard the arguments of all the parties in detail. After the final arguments of the lawyers, the court had decided its decision.

Controversy started in January this year

Let us tell you that the Hijab row started in the campus of a government college in Udupi, Karnataka in the month of January, when girls wearing hijab were stopped from entering the classroom. Since then, the hijab controversy has caught on in the schools and colleges of the state. The controversy escalated so much that the hijab case reached the Supreme Court.
