Amidst the war with Ukraine, Russia is going to give the third batch of the state-of-the-art S-400 missile defence system to the Indian Air Force next year.

This deal of five squadrons of the S-400 missile system between India and Russia is worth more than 35 thousand crore rupees. The whole world is in awe of this Russian missile defence system which is joining India's defence fleet.

The deliveries of all five consignments are expected to be completed by the end of the next financial year.

Despite the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, India will start receiving the third batch of S-400 missile defence systems from Russia from January-February next year.

In the midst of the Ukraine dispute, Russia has increased India's military strength by giving the second consignment of S-400. The second squadron has been deployed in the northern and eastern regions of the country.

In December last year, the army deployed the first batch of missile defence systems received from Russia in the Punjab sector.

India was in great need of this powerful air defence system

India is going to receive the third consignment of the state-of-the-art S-400 missile defence system from Russia in January-February next year. With the supply of this long-range surface-to-air missile defence system to India, the pulse of China and Pakistan is sure to increase.

An 8-member Indian Air Force team has undergone S-400 training in Russia and has come to India to start training courses on S-400 systems for other personnel.

There are eight launchers in each flight and two missiles in each launcher. Seeing the threat of China and Pakistan, India was in great need of this powerful air defence system S-400 made in Russia.

A total of five regiments (flights) of 'S-400 Triumph' missiles are to be received by the Indian Air Force by October 2023.
