'Expose the Brutality of Congress'; BJP Leader's Appeal to Vivek Agnihotri

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has urged "The Kashmir Files" director Vivek Agnihotri to make a film on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. In a tweet, Sirsa urged Agnihotri to highlight the truth of the "brutality committed by Congress and incitement by Rajiv Gandhi against Sikhs in different parts of India" through the film. He called it the '1984 Files'.
The former member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly further said that many institutions would fund such a film to uncover the truth of 1984.
The film 'The Kashmir Files', based on the exodus of Kashmiri Panditsfrom the Kashmir Valley in the 1990s, has received praise from top BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Addressing the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting on Tuesday, PM Modi praised the film for bringing out the truth in its true form and said that history has to be presented in the right context from time to time. He said that you must have heard the discussion about 'The Kashmir Files'. The whole group of people who are waving the flag of freedom of expression have been shocked for the last few days.

The reality about Kashmiri Pandits' sacrifices, unbearable pain and struggle, who were forced to leave their home in their own country has come to the notice of the whole world through this film, which is a very commendable endeavour. The truth is boldly represented in Kashmir Files. It will work to make society and the country aware in this direction that such historical mistakes are not repeated in the future.
