Presidential Election 2022: NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu, who is leading the BJP in the presidential election, will file her nomination today at 12 noon. For this, she had reached Delhi on Thursday itself.
Documents related to his nomination are being prepared at the residence of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda will be included in the nomination.
Murmu will file her nomination papers today in the presence of top party leaders. Let us tell you that for the post of President, she will face the opposition candidate, former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha.
On reaching Delhi, Murmu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. After the meeting, PM Modi tweeted that he met NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu.
Also, her presidential nomination has been appreciated by all sections of society across the country.
The PM said that her understanding of India's ground problems and development is excellent.
Earlier, JP Nadda urged Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik to be present during the filing of nomination papers by Murmu.
Expressing regret for the unavailability, Patnaik has asked two of his cabinet colleagues, Jagannath Sarkar and Tukuni Sahu, to be present during the nomination.
These days the political turmoil regarding the presidential election is increasing. Union Minister Arjun Munda, State President and MP Deepak Prakash, MP Samir Oraon, Sunil Singh, Sunil Soren, Sudarshan Bhagat, Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi and MLA Neelkanth Singh Munda have become supporters of Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu. Mrs Murmu will file her nomination for the post of President today.
