BJP Hits Back at Congress over 'The Kashmir Files'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big statement amid the uproar over 'The Kashmir Files'. PM Modi said on Tuesday that an attempt was made to suppress the truth of what was shown in the film. The PM made this statement in the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's film is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley and the atrocities faced by them. The film hit the theatres on March 11. It is being said that this film has been made based on true events and facts of the 1990s. A large number of people are reaching the theatres to see this film.

Earlier on Saturday, director Vivek Agnihotri, his wife and actress Pallavi Joshi and film's producer Abhishek Agarwal called on the Prime Minister. Abhishek told that the PM praised his film. Film analyst Taran Adarsh shared the picture of the meeting on Twitter.
Political controversy has also started over this film. The controversy started with a series of tweets by the Kerala Congress. The Kerala Congress claims that in the 17 years between 1990 and 2007, more Muslims were killed than Kashmiri Pandits in terrorist attacks. The Kerala Congress also said that when the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley began, the governor of Jammu and Kashmir was Jagmohan and he was an "RSS person".
The Kerala Congress also says that at that time there was a government of VP Singh at the centre, which was supported by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The BJP retaliated to these claims of Congress. The BJP said that the real face of Congress has come to the fore through this film.
