West Bengal Police has arrested three others for the alleged murder of Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Bhadu Sheikh in the Birbhum violence case. With this, the number of people arrested by the police in the TMC leader's murder case has gone up to four. Earlier, the police had arrested a person based on suspicion. On Wednesday, the police will present the three arrested accused in the Rampurhat Sub-Divisional Court.
According to information received from sources, the people arrested by the police for the murder of TMC leader Sheikh include Sanju Sheikh, Shera Sheikh and Raja Sheikh. Police sources say that Birbhum District Police has arrested these three accused from Malda, Rampurhat and Jharkhand border areas.
Let us inform you that on the night of last March 21, Bhadu Sheikh, the deputy head of Barshal Gram Panchayat, was killed by the bombing at the crossroads of Bogtui village. In this incident, a complaint was lodged against 10 people. Earlier, the police had arrested a person named Hanif Sheikh based on suspicion. After this, the police arrested three more people involved in the incident late on Tuesday night.
