The Punjab and Chhattisgarh governments will give Rs 50 lakh each to the farmers and journalists killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announces this. Both have reached Lucknow with former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. He is accompanied by the party's national general secretaries KC Venugopal and Randeep Surjewala and party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala. Everyone sat on a dharna at Lucknow airport. However, he left for Sitapur after sitting in his car from the airport.

Grant of Rs 50 lakh each to the families

In Lucknow, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said, we stand with the families of the farmers killed. On behalf of the Punjab government, I announce a grant of Rs 50 lakh each to the families of the deceased, including the journalist.
