
The two main accused that targeted Muslim women through Bulli Bai and Sulli Deals app have got relief from the court. The accused Neeraj Bishnoi, Omkareshwar Thakur got bail from the court on humanitarian grounds. A Delhi court has granted bail to both of them on humanitarian grounds. The court says that the accused have committed an offence for the first time. In such a situation, being in jail continuously would be detrimental to their overall well being.
In this case, the court has said that no one can tamper with both the cases at the level at which this case is now. The court has given bail to both the accused. But strict conditions have been imposed on them. They can neither intimidate any witness, nor can the evidence be tampered with.
The court has said that the accused person will not try to contact any victim. The court has clearly said in its direction that the accused person shall not tamper with the evidence, shall provide his contact details to the investigating officer and shall keep his phone switched on. Apart from this, the accused will not leave the country and go to any other country. Whenever the date of the court is due, the accused will make their appearance. The accused will not do any illegal work.
It is worth noting that Muslim women were being targeted through the Bulli Bai App, which was very active on social media. Along with spreading false information about such women through the app, their online bidding was also being done. After the matter came to light in 2022, the police took action on it. In this case, 6 accused were arrested one after the other.
The police made the first arrest in this case as an 18-year-old student named Kumar Vishal from Bangalore. After this, the police arrested Shweta Anantpal Singh from Uttarakhand. The third arrest was made in the form of Mayank Pradeep Singh Rawat. It was also arrested from Uttarakhand itself. Bishnoi Row was arrested from Assam. In the end, Omkareshwar Thakur was caught from Madhya Pradesh.
