Police have registered a case against Heeba, daughter of film actor Naseeruddin Shah, for allegedly assaulting two veterinary clinic workers in Versova, Mumbai. The incident of the assault was captured in the CCTV installed in the clinic and the footage has been given to the Versova police. The CCTV footage can be seen on January 16 slapping Heeba and pushing two female staff at the clinic. According to the complaint lodged by the Feline Foundation, Heeba had come with two of her mates to get them sterilized.
According to the complaint, "Heeba was told by the staff to wait five minutes as another cat surgery was going on at the time. But she got angry and was enraged. He threatened the employees and asked them, 'Don't you know who I am.' The Feline Foundation further stated in its complaint, 'How can you make me wait for so long? Nobody helped me when I stepped out of the autorickshaw with the cats? '
The trust claimed that Heeba began talking to the staff in an insolent manner. She also alleged that even when the cats were admitted, the staff asked her to complete some formalities but she was also annoyed at this and started saying good and bad to the hospital staff. Later, when she was asked to leave the clinic, she started assaulting and abusing staff.
The police have filed a complaint under sections 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and investigations are on. Heeba is the daughter of Nasiruddin Shah with his first wife Parveen Murad. She lives in Mumbai with Naseeruddin Shah his wife Ratna Pathak Shah and their sons Imad and Vivaan.
