Mumbai: BMC Deputy Municipal Commissioner Died of Coronavirus

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Deputy Municipal Commissioner Shirish Dixit has died of corona virus and was 54 years old. He had his corona test 2 to 3 days ago, however, he did not have symptoms of corona. His health deteriorated on Tuesday morning and by the time the team of doctors reached home, he died, whereas, three members of his family have been quarantined. Let us tell you that the corona virus continues to wreak havoc in Maharashtra and the state has the highest number of patients in the country. On Monday, 2553 new cases of corona were reported in Maharashtra and 109 people died.

If you look at the total number of deaths so far, it has reached to 3169 and the total number of corona cases has increased to 88528. However, the number of active cases is almost half of the total cases. The number of active cases of corona in Maharashtra is 44374. So far, 40975 people have recovered and discharged here. As far as Mumbai is concerned, there are 50085 cases of corona reported here till now. So far, 1702 people have also died due to this disease here. The number of active cases of Corona in Mumbai is 26345. If you look at the figures for the last 24 hours, there have been 311 new cases reported in Mumbai and 64 people have died.
