Love Aaj Kal trailer, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, is out and helps the viewers to remember Imtiaz Ali's 2009 film of a similar name. The film aims to showcase a blend of present-day and past love as it at the same time includes two time periods – the 1990s and 2020s.

On one hand, there is a cutting edge couple of vocation fixated Sara and Kartik, who needs every last bit of her and won't compromise in a relationship. On the other, there is love blooming between Kartik, with ear-piercings this time, and Arushi Sharma. The film has been significantly shot in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh and a few behind the scene pictures and recordings were shared by the lead actors on their social media handles. This is Sara's third film and is the sequel of sorts to 2009 original that featured her dad Saif Ali Khan inverse Deepika Padukone. The first additionally had Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Giselli Monteiro in crucial roles.
