Madhya Pradesh government has passed a resolution to withdraw the Citizenship Amendment Act during the cabinet meeting. The resolution demanded that the Citizenship Amendment Act be repealed. This information was given after the cabinet meeting. Along with this, the demand for change in NPR also discussed in the meeting. Many other important decisions have also been taken in the meeting. Earlier, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly had passed a resolution against the CAA.

Even after passing Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament, the ongoing discussion about this law has not stopped. Protests began in many parts of the country against this law. It started in Northeast India. Specifically, large-scale protests took place in Assam. This was followed by protests at Aligarh Muslim University, Delhi's JNU and Jamia University.

Now, the question arises that what is there in this law, after which the controversy has increased so much. According to this law, there is a provision for granting Indian citizenship to people of Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi and Christian communities who have come to India for asylum from neighboring countries.
