Coronavirus seems to be getting out of control in the country and record-breaking cases are being reported every day. According to data from the Union Health Ministry, during the last 24 hours, 40,425 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country, which is the highest number of cases reported in a day. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has now risen to 11,18,043. Considering the rapid growth of coronavirus cases, it seems that it has become uncontrollable.
Due to the increasing infection of coronavirus, the number of people who are losing their lives in the country has also increased. During the last 24 hours, 676 people have died due to COVID-19 across the country and a total of 27,497 people have died due to this virus so far. The increasing number of deaths continues to cause further concern.
However, the number of people recovering from the coronavirus in the country is also increasing rapidly. During the last 24 hours, 22.664 people have been cured by coronavirus across the country. Till date 7,00,086 people have been cured in the country.
There is continuous testing for the identification of corona patients in the country and India is the highest testing country in the world after the USA and Russia. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), more than 2.56 lakh corona tests have been conducted in the country on Sunday. So far more than 1.40 crore tests have been done in the country.
Speaking of COVID-19 cases globally, the total number of cases worldwide has reached over 1.46 crores. To date, more than 6.08 lakh people have died due to coronavirus. However, over 87.35 lakh people all over the world have been cured of the coronavirus. The highest number of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the United States, where more than 38.98 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.43 lakh people have died. Followed by Brazil with more than 20.99 lakh cases and 79 thousand deaths. In Russia too, more than 7.71 lakh cases have been reported and more than 12 thousand people have lost their lives.
