Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the salaries of employees of BSNL and MTNL are many times more than private companies. He said that the staff cost of BSNL is 75.06 percent of the total income and the figure for MTNL is 87.15 percent. He said that the private cost of private companies is between 2 and 5 percent.
