Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday interacted with district workers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi and discussed local problems.  He alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is bent on destroying the cultural dignity of Kashi and that work, businesses and employment are being shut down.  There has never been so much oppression of people in democracy.  He called on the workers to prepare for the 2022 assembly elections, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party government of dictatorship.

Akhilesh Interacted with people Through video Conferencing

Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav interacted with the people through video conferencing.  Along with Kishan Dixit of Varanasi, Pradeep Sahni of Sailor Union and Mithilesh Sahni, a counselor told that weak people are being harassed in the name of development.  Sailor Association President Pradeep said that the boat has stopped running for four months, due to which the problem of food has become serious.

The Entire system has Deteriorated in the Lockdown

Akhilesh Yadav said that the business of making sari, toys, dholak, scissors and other products is in Azamgarh, Mubarakpur, Akbarpur, Tanda, Barabanki, Mau, Bhadohi, Amroha and Meerut.  But in the lockdown, the saris are not being sold due to the whole system going haywire, while the minimum fixed rate was being charged in the Samajwadi Government.  The old payment is also not taken by people.  The business of the brass city Moradabad is also down.

Senior leader Manoj Rai Dhupchandi informed about the deteriorating situation of the weavers day by day.  Loom driver Israr Ahmed, thread machine artisans Moinuddin Ansari, Haji Zubair, Saud Ahmed, Parvez Alam, Anwar and Azimuddin accused the BJP of creating a hurdle in their work professions.  Akhilesh also held talks with Ajay Fauji, a victim of police brutality for showing black flags to Prime Minister Narendra Modi last February and assured him of possible help.
