Thawar Chand, 73, has been a constant member of Modi's cabinet after becoming the Prime Minister in 2014.
It is believed that by making Thawar Chand the governor, a place has been vacated for Scindia from the Madhya Pradesh quota. However, what will be the profile of Scindia, it is not yet decided. It is definitely a discussion that Modi will entrust him with a big responsibility. Till now there were 4 ministers in the Modi cabinet from Madhya Pradesh.
