The family of Ziona Chana of Mizoram, head of the world's largest family (167 people), is not ready to believe his death. The family believes that Chana is still alive and he is still breathing. Chana's funeral has been stopped after this incident.

Chana is the leader of the Paval sect. His father had formed this sect. The sect comprises 433 families and over 2,500 people. The people of the sect say that till the death is not confirmed, the last rites will not be performed.

2 days ago the doctor confirmed his death

Doctors at Trinity Hospital in Aizwal, the capital of Mizoram, confirmed Chana's death on June 13. He was 76 years old. Chana, a carpenter by profession, has 38 wives and 89 children. Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga also wrote a post for Chana on social media. He wrote that Mizoram and his village, Baktawang Talangnum, had become a tourist attraction because of this family.

Division of work in the responsibility of the eldest wife

It is told about this family that Chana's eldest wife distributes the work of all the members from the house. She also keeps an eye on everyone's work. This family of 167 people lives in a big 4-storey house built amidst the hills. The name of the house is Chhaun Thar Run (New Generation Home). There are more than 100 rooms in this house.

Chana was born on 21 July 1945. He was the head of a community named Chana Paval. It was established by his father. There is a tradition of many weddings in this sect. This is the reason why Chana has so many wives. The name of this family is included in the Guinness Book of World Records. His family works as a carpenter.

Wives used to cook food, daughters-in-law used to clean

According to reports, this family needs 45 kg of rice, 25 kg of pulses, 20 kg of fruits, 30 to 40 chickens, and 50 eggs in a day's ration. For Chana's family, food is served on 50 tables in a large dining hall. Chana's wives cook the food. Daughters look after other household chores. The responsibility of cleaning is handled by the daughter-in-law.
