About three feet below the ground in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a newborn girl buried in a pot, is being treated in a private hospital. Doctors said that the health of the baby is slowly improving, although the condition is still fragile. Everyone is surprised that how's the girl, who was buried three feet below ground for 48 hours, survived alive? The doctors are also surprised by the baby's ability to survive.

Doctors who treated her said, "The baby remained alive for more than 48 hours due to which the brown fat of her body has also burnt." He further explained, 'Brown fat or brown adipose tissue helps the infant to survive even in extreme cold conditions by burning fatty acids and glucose in the body." Dr. Khanna told, 'The baby buried in the ground is a premature baby whose umbilical cord has already fallen. Her platelet count normal range has fallen from 1.5 lakh to just 10 thousand. Still there are signs of his survival.

The child is being given food through a tube
He said, 'We are trying to maintain the normal body temperature of the girl, which has fallen a lot due to the absence of fat. The doctor further informed that she is responding to the treatment and signs of improvement are also seen. Now we are reaching food through her by tube and her body is adopting premature baby formula. However, until her blood is cleared of infection, she will continue to be given antibiotics and intensive care.'

The girl was admitted to Bareilly District Hospital in a critical condition. On receiving this information BJP MLA Rajesh Mishra, offered to help in the treatment of the girl child. The girl was taken to a private hospital only after getting permission from members of the CMS and Child Welfare Committee.

Police in search of accused parents
CWC member Dr. DN Sharma said, 'It is a good initiative by the MLA that he is helping to save the life of the girl child. Adoption of the girl child will be considered when it is fully cured and suitable guidelines will be kept in mind for that. Meanwhile, SSP of Bareilly Shailesh Pandey said that the police have registered a case under sections 317A and 307 against the unidentified parents of the girl child. He said that the police is searching for the accused.
