Researchers at the University of Colima in Mexico conducted a study whose results showed that having a car increases both a person's sexual desire, and the possibility of having sex. David Hernández, lead author of the study, says that owning a car in the very early days of life serves as a sexual desire and enhancer. Women are more attracted to men who have more material resources and cars are one of the most important material resources.
For this study published in the journal Sexuality Research and Social Policy, researchers asked 809 students between 17 and 24 years of age at a university in Western Mexico about their sex life. During this period, students were also asked questions related to their sex-related behavior as well as their social and economic aspects. After this, the students were divided into 2 groups – one who had a car and the other who did not have a car.
The study showed that young car buyers or car owners had higher libido, were more likely to have sex at a younger age, had more sexual partners, and had higher frequencies of sexual activity. People who had a car had twice as much sex and had more sexual partners than those who did not have a car.
