Migrant Labourers Getting Work on Railway Projects

Migrant labourers are getting work on railways under PM Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana, in this way railway work is also being done.

Due to Coronavirus people had to face a lot of trouble. The migrant labourers had to eat food. After the lockdown, millions of migrant labourers had to leave the city and go home due to lack of work and income.

 Meeting held on 24 June 2020

Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman, Indian Railways, has instructed all National Railways to employ migrants who have returned to various states, stated an official release in the meeting held on 24 June 2020.

Railway Board Chairman, General Managers and Divisional Railway Managers identified around 160 infrastructure works related to the railways. These projects engage thousands of workers and would generate roughly eight lakh man-days of employment by the end of October 2020, added the statement.

Now migrant labourers are getting work in railways from the railway side. The work is being provided to migrant labourers by Indian Railways under Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana so that they can earn their income. This work is being done in many areas of Bihar. Let's see where things are going.

RPF barracks are making migrant labourers

An RPF barracks is being constructed at Garhara Yard near Begusarai, which is being worked on by migrant laborers.

A bypass flyover is also being constructed at Manpur near Gaya, where migrant laborers are employed by the railways.

Railway line bridge

A bridge is being constructed in Khagaria for the Khagaria Kusheshwar Asthan railway line. The people who are engaged in building that bridge are migrant laborers.

Migrant labourers have also been given the responsibility of constructing a bridge over the crossing at Madhubani. The work is being done under Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana.
