MCC Announces Match Schedule for Pakistan Tour

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has announced its match schedule for the upcoming tour of Pakistan. MCC will play one ODI and three T20s from 14 February in Lahore. MCC team will play in Pakistan after 48 years. MCC will play T20 against Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Lahore Qalandar. Pakistan's star players Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman can play in Qalandar's team. The MCC team will also play against Northern and Multan Sultans.

The MCC team last visited Pakistan in 1973. This time the first match of the tour will be played against Lahore Qalandar at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 14 February. This will be followed by a 50-over match against the Pakistan Shaheens on 16 February. On 17 February, the second T20 Northern and the last match on 19 February will be against Multan Sultan.

The 12-member team led by MCC chief Kumar Sangakkara will travel to Pakistan. It will also feature players like Ravi Bopara, Roelof van der Merwe, and Ross Witley. MCC team coach Ajmal Shahzad said, "This tour of Pakistan will be an important occasion for everyone. We hope that this tour will help the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) hopes to play with international teams in their country regularly. "

MCC XI: Kumar Sangakkara (captain), Ravi Bopara, Michael Burgess, Oliver Hannon Dalby, Fred Klassen, Michael Leask, Arron Lilley, Imran Qayyum, Will Rhodes, Safyaan Sharif, Roelof van der Merwe, Ross Whiteley.
