The crisis of passenger car maker Maruti Suzuki India is increasing. In fact, in July, there has been a huge decline of about 34 percent in the sales of Maruti Suzuki. According to the company's statement, the domestic sales of Maruti Suzuki dropped by 36.30 percent to 98,210 units in July compared to 1,54,150 vehicles in the previous year.

Earlier, Maruti Suzuki had sold 1,64,369 units in July last year. Recently, Maruti Suzuki announced the results of the first quarter of the current financial year. The company's profits in the first quarter of 2019-20 were 27.3% lower than last year.

Mini Cars sale down 70%

Maruti Suzuki's mini-car has not liked much in the last month of July. According to the company, mini-cars, including Alto and WagonR, dropped by 69.30 percent to 11,577 units in July compared to the previous year's 37,710 units. Sales of compact category vehicles, including Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and DZire, also dropped 22.70% to 57,512 units last year from 74,373 units. Similarly, utility vehicles sales including Vitara Breja, S Cross and Ertiga fell 38.10 percent to 15,178 units. During the month, the company's exports dropped 9.40 percent to 9,258 vehicles from 10,219 vehicles in the previous year.

In addition to Maruti, Bajaj Auto's total sales have dropped by 5% in July to 3,81,530 vehicles. The company said in its statement that it sold 4,00,343 vehicles in July last year. The company said that during the period, its domestic sales fell by 13 percent to 2,05,470 vehicles compared to 2,37,511 vehicles in the previous year. During the month, the sales of the company's motorcycles dropped 3 percent to 3,22,210 units from 3,32,680 units.
