Manoj Mukund Narwane, the newly appointed Army Chief of the country, not only has experience working on all operational front but is also considered as one of the best in the army. Narwane will replace the current Army Chief Bipin Rawat who will retire on 31 December. Narwane will remain the army chief until April 2022. Ranbir Singh was the Director General of Military Intelligence during a September 2016 surgical strike against militant organizations in Myanmar and a September 2016 surgical strike on terrorist targets of POK.
