After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, there is a fierce debate in Bollywood about nepotism. Now, the name of veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee has also been included in this list. He said that the industry celebrates the ordinary and ignores those who are truly talented.
Manoj Bajpayee said in an interview to WION, 'I start with that this world is not fair. I have been saying this for the last 20 years that we celebrate mediocrity as an industry. Forget about the industry, even as a country we celebrate the common. There is something missing somewhere. In our thoughts and values. When we see the talent, we immediately want to ignore or overcome it. These are our values, which are very hollow.'
Manoj Bajpayee and Sushant Singh Rajput have worked together in the film 'Sonchiriya'. He said that the industry needs to check itself. He said, 'The industry has ruined talent. I had also said earlier that there is a lot of talent in the industry, but they are not getting the right place. If they have given a chance in another country, they will be one of the best actors in the world, but we do not care. This industry is very cold about its principles. I am not blaming anyone. Since I am a part of it'.
Sushant committed suicide by hanging himself at his Bandra home in Mumbai. He was 34 years old. He was struggling with depression. After his death, fans say that Sushant's ability was overlooked due to the nepotism and star kids present in Bollywood. Since he was an outsider, he was not allowed to proceed.
