Prime Minister Narendra Modi today made an aerial tour of several districts of West Bengal devastated by the storm of Amphan. After this, he announced a relief package of one thousand crore rupees. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is baffled by this announcement by PM Modi., she said that the loss was of one lakh crores and the package is being given only of one thousand crores.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that PM Narendra Modi has announced a relief package of one thousand crore, but has not given any information related to it, like when will this money be received or is it an advance. There was a loss of Rs one lakh crore due to the storm of Amphan and 56 thousand crore rupees is owed to our center only.

After the aerial survey, PM Narendra Modi had said, 'The state government and the central government tried their best to deal with the Amphan cyclone, but despite that we could not save the lives of about 80 people, we are all sad and the families has lost their family members, the central and state government have sympathies for them.

Further, PM Narendra Modi said, 'Center and states are working together to provide all possible help to the people, for now, so that the state government should not face any difficulty Rs 1000 crore will be arranged by the Government of India. Besides, assistance of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the families of the dead and Rs 50 thousand to the injured from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
