West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has appealed to the Center to provide 10 thousand rupees to migrant workers in view of the crisis caused by the corona virus. She tweeted that financial assistance should be provided to people working in the unorganized sector, so that they can face the economic crisis created due to the lockdown, she advised that a part of PM Cares should be used for this purpose.

Mamta Banerjee tweeted, "The economic crisis people are going to face due to the current global epidemic cannot be imagined. I appeal to the central government to transfer Rs. 10 thousand to the migrant laborers at a time, including those working in the unorganized sector, a portion of PM-Cares can be used for this. "

Economic activity has been severely affected due to the lockdown implemented nationwide to control the global epidemic of corona virus. Earlier, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary accused the Mamata Banerjee of trying to divide migrants and non-migrants in the state over migrant laborers.

He alleged that initially Mamata Banerjee took full credit for bringing the migrant laborers back by rail and later blamed it on those who came back for increasing the corona cases. Chaudhary also accused the state government of failing to build a sufficient number of separate habitat centers during the lockdown.
