Mamata Banerjee Held Cabinet Meeting Before Budget

The budget session of the Bengal Legislative Assembly has started from February 7. On February 10, the Finance Minister Amit Mitra will present the budget of Bengal in the Assembly. This will be the 10th budget of under Amit Mitra. After TMC came to power in 2013, Amit Mitra presented the state budget for the first time. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a cabinet meeting ahead of the West Bengal budget.

According to information, the last full-time budget of the second term of the Mamata Banerjee government in Bengal will be presented today because the assembly elections are to be held next year. All preparations have been completed regarding this. Finance Minister Amit Mitra will present the budget of Bengal for the financial year 2020-21 in the Assembly on Monday. It is worth mentioning that in the coming months, municipal elections are to be held in the state while assembly elections are to be held next year, in such a situation, a populist budget is expected.

Apart from the budget session, several other important decisions have been taken in the meeting of the state cabinet. It has been decided that in addition to the Transport Department, about 400 vacancies will be filled in the Municipal Development Department of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Durgapur Municipal Corporation. Apart from this, the cabinet decision has also been given to the government decision regarding the transfer of teachers to the home district. Earlier, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced on the day of Saraswati Puja that now government teachers can get an appointment in their home district.
