Malaysia Grounds Pakistani Pilots Over Alleged License Fraud

After the European Union, Britain and Gulf countries, now Malaysia has also banned Pakistan's pilots in the country. On Friday, Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) released a statement regarding this. It states, 'We are worried about the information that has come out about Pakistan International Airlines and Pakistan's pilots. We are banning these pilots right now.

CAAM CEO Capt Chester Wu said that we are keeping eye on the matter. Pakistan's Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan himself has admitted in Parliament that 40% of the country's pilots' licenses are fake. Let us tell you that 107 pilots from Pakistan work in foreign airlines companies.

Passenger Safety First: Malaysia Aviation Authority

The Malaysia Aviation Authority further said in the statement, 'It is necessary to think seriously about the things that are coming about the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority. In recent times, many countries have banned the PIA and its pilots. We are also immediately stopping their flights. We will check the license of some pilots at our level also.'

Muslim countries also banned PIA Pilots:

Countries like Kuwait, Iran, Jordan, UAE have already banned PIA and Pakistani pilots. After this, Vietnam and Britain took the same decision. Now Malaysia has also joined this list.

PIA plane crashed in Karachi happened due to pilots' mistake:

The PIA plane crashed in Karachi on 22 May. On 25 June, the investigation report of this accident was presented in Parliament. Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that the accident happened due to pilots' mistake. He was busy discussing about the coronavirus. The PIA has 860 pilots, while 262 licenses are suspected to be fake. Their flight has been banned. The difficulties of the PIA standing on the verge of bankruptcy are now increasing.
