On Monday, 2,361 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Maharashtra and 76 more people died, taking the total number of infected to 70,013, while the number of deaths has increased to 2,362. The state health department said that 779 patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday, with this, 30,108 people have been cured of this disease so far.
The department said that 37,543 people are under treatment in the state and a total of four lakh 71 thousand 473 samples have been tested so far. The department said, “Of the 76 deaths in Maharashtra, 60 have died in the Mumbai metropolitan area alone.” So far in Maharashtra, 70,013 people have been infected with the corona virus, of which 41,099 cases are from Mumbai alone and at the same time, 1,319 people in the city have lost their lives due to Covid-19.
The total number of infected people in Mumbai metropolitan area is 53,259 of which 1,609 people have died. According to the department, Pune is the most affected city of Covid-19 after Mumbai, so far, 7,020 people have been confirmed infected and 316 people have died here, at the same time, in Aurangabad, 1,507 people are corona positive and 67 people have died.
The department said that 880 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Solapur, out of which 67 people have died, while so far 761 cases have been reported in Malegaon in Nashik district and 58 people have died. According to the data released by the department, 557 patients of Covid-19 have been found in Nagpur, out of which 11 have died, while in Akola city, 559 people have been infected with the corona virus and 23 people have died. It should be noted that according to the department, at present 3,294 places in Maharashtra have been identified as prohibited areas.
