Police in Maharashtra, caught in the fury of the Corona virus, arrested 40 migrant laborers working in Mumbai on Friday. According to information provided by a police officer, the workers were allegedly trying to go to their house in Uttar Pradesh in a truck in fear of the corona virus. According to this officer, the truck driver told the police that the truck contained vegetables. He informed that a case has been registered against all the workers.

Inspector (crime) of Kopri police station D Gavade said, "40 migrant laborers caught in Mumbai. Fearing the corona virus threat, they were trying to return to their native places in Uttar Pradesh by riding in a truck. They had reached Nashik where the police caught them and asked them to return to Mumbai in the same vehicle. Fearing police action, the driver diverted the truck towards Mumbai. When the truck reached the Anand Nagar checkpoint in Thane, the police examined the vehicle and saw the laborers riding in it. '

Gavade said that when he was asked why they were going to Uttar Pradesh, the workers told that they were scared of the spread of Corona virus in Mumbai and hence wanted to return to their home. A case under Section 188 of the IPC has been filed against all of them. Explains that 135 cases have been confirmed in Maharashtra so far, and 19 of these have been cured. A total of 4228 people have been tested for corona virus in the state so far, out of which 4017 have been tested negative and 135 have been tested positive.
