Madhya Pradesh: Cabinet Expansion is to be Completed by June 30

The stir over the expansion of Shivraj's cabinet has intensified. Amid speculation about cabinet expansion in Madhya Pradesh, news agency ANI has informed sources that the cabinet expansion in the state will be completed by June 30. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, State BJP President VD Sharma and Organization Minister Suhash Bhagat have left for Delhi after discussing in Bhopal. However, no official information has been given regarding cabinet expansion.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today

This meeting of CM Shivraj with PM Modi is very important, as the politics of cabinet expansion in Madhya Pradesh has once again warmed up. According to the discussions, 9 supporters of Jyotiraditya Scindia can get a place in the cabinet, who have left the Congress. Cabinet expansion will be held soon after getting green signal from high command Shivraj's cabinet will expand soon after getting the green signal from party president JP Nadda in Delhi.

This will be CM's first official meeting with PM Modi in three months after becoming the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for the fourth time.  Due to COVID-19 imposed lockdown after being sworn in as Chief Minister on 23 March and Chauhan could not formally meet the Prime Minister. In today's meeting, the two senior leaders are expected to discuss the current political situation in Madhya Pradesh and the possible expansion of the state cabinet.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan wants 25 more people in the cabinet after the formation of mini cabinet.  In Delhi, he will meet BJP National President JP Nadda, Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia and Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. While 15-16 ministers can be appointed from BJP.  Besides balancing regional and caste lines in the cabinet, there is also pressure to include former ministers.
