Scientist M Vanita was the project director of the Chandrayaan-2 mission. She will no longer be part of the Chandrayaan-3 team. At the same time, Ritu Karidhal, who will lead the mission Chandrayaan-2 team, will also lead the mission. P Veeramutuvel has been appointed in place of M Vanitha on behalf of ISRO headquarters.
The landing of the lander Vikram, sent with India’s mission Chandrayaan-2, was not successful. In this mission, M Vanitha’s team was responsible for all systems of Chandrayaan-2.
