Students of the Arts and Crafts College of Lucknow University (LU) had to face a lot of trouble when the power supply was interrupted during the experimental examination. Examiners had to take the exam by burning their mobile lights for four hours. During this, he also told the problem to the room inspector present. He also sent through the staff to inform the dean of the college, but no one reached the examination hall responsible until the examination was over.

The Arts College has been running examinations for BFA, BVA, MVA courses since January 18. From 9 am to 1 pm on Thursday and from 1 pm to 5 pm, there was an experimental examination of the subject 'Copy from Old Master' under the painting department. In this, 30 examinees of BVA second year (third semester) were seated in the Fine Art Hall. According to the candidates, as soon as the exam started in the afternoon shift, the college's power went out. When it was very dark in the examination hall, the examinees reported it to the room inspector present in the room. At the same time, some students sat outside the examination room. Due to the absence of a generator for electricity, the students took the test by lighting their mobile lights.

There is no arrangement of generator, inverter also

About 500 students study at Arts College. But there is not even a provision of generators and inverters in case of power failure. Because of which students have to face difficulties.

90 candidates waiting for exam

The future of 90 students of this class is stuck in the balance due to 7 students who have taken admission in Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA) in Arts College this year. LU first admitted these seven students above 21 years of age. He was later barred from appearing in the examination. Now, because of these, 90 students of BVA first semester painting, applied and sculpture are not taking examinations. On this, Dean Dr. Sanjeev Kishore Gautam on Thursday, VC Prof. A letter has been written to Alok Kumar Rai requesting that all these exams be conducted.
