Even though both the parties are making their claims in the court to recover the fine after the violence that took place during the anti-citizenship amendment law (CAA) demonstration in Uttar Pradesh, the tough decision of the Yogi government, forced the perpetrators to pay the fine. In Kanpur, 6 families accused of violence deposited 80 thousand rupees in the district administration's district fund, while on Tuesday evening, Lucknow District Magistrate (DM) issued recovery invoices worth more than 21 lakhs to 13 people.

On the other hand, people in Kanpur have started giving the amount of compensation to the government's fund. The district administration has recovered Rs 80,856 from six accused of arson and vandalism at the Yatimkhana outpost during the violence against the CAA in Kanpur. There was to be a fine of 13476 per person. The villagers have handed over this amount to the district administration through a draft.

While giving information on this entire incident, SP Rajkumar has said that public property was damaged during the violence. A team was formed for this. The team issued a notice to 21 people assessing the compensation of Rs 2 lakh 83 thousand. At the same time, six accused Yasin, Armaan, Irfan, Dilshad and Liaquat have made their respective draft of Rs 13476 and handed it over to the district administration on Tuesday, the remaining amount will be recovered from the remaining accused soon.

In Lucknow, on December 19, 2019, during the violent demonstrations against the CAA in Lucknow, the competent court did not deposit the compensation amount by the due date by the 13 people guilty of Hasanganj police station area who damaged public and private properties. An RC of Rs 21,76,000 / – has been issued against all the 13 miscreants found guilty.
