As many states have eased lockdown restrictions, the process of unlocking is in its final stages with a recurring dip in the number of Covid-19 cases each day. States like Rajasthan, Haryana, Telangana, Gujarat among others have announced to conduct physical classes in the schools following strict Covid-19 protocols. In this sequence, let us know about the latest status of School Reopening 2021 in different states-

Odisha:

The state government has announced the opening of hostels for the students of class 10th and 12th from July 26, 2021. Samir Ranjan Das, Minister of School and Mass Education in the Government of Odisha gave information on Thursday, July 2. The education minister said, "We have decided to reopen the hostels for class 10, 12 from July 26. However, we have asked the students to take the consent of their parents. Those who do not wish to attend the classes can continue with online education."

Rajasthan:

The state government has announced the date of opening of schools. Sharing information in this regard on Thursday, Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara said, "In the cabinet meeting held today. It has been decided to re-open all the schools in the state from 02 August." However, the Rajasthan Education Minister did not clarify whether the state's government and private schools would open only for senior classes i.e. students of 9th to 12th standard or to all like other states. It is believed that a detailed notification in this regard can be issued on 23 July 2021.

Himachal Pradesh:

The date of opening of schools for the students of class 10 to class 12 has also been announced by the state government. According to an update, in the cabinet meeting held with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. It has been decided to open schools for the students of class 10th, 11th and 12th from August 2. Also, students of class 5 to class 8 have also given permission to call only for doubt clearance.

Gujarat:

The state government has also given permission to government and private schools to re-open senior classes 9th to 12th from Monday.

Maharashtra:

At the same time, the Government of Maharashtra has re-opened schools for students from 8th to 12th classes from 15th July 2021. However, schools have been allowed to open only in those areas where there are no cases of epidemic infection.

Madhya Pradesh:

The government has given permission to call the students of classes 11th and 12th from July 26. After that, the classes for middle and primary students have been informed about the decision to be taken after the assessment of the situation after August 15.

Chhattisgarh:

The state government has given permission to open schools and higher education institutions for the students of class 11th and 12th with 50% attendance from August 2, 2021.

In Haryana, schools have been opened for students from class 9th to 12th from July 16. At the same time, schools will be opened for students from class 6th to 8th from July 23. During this, the schools have been instructed to ensure all necessary precautions and measures.

In Bihar too, schools for 11th and 12th students and all higher education institutions have been opened from July 12. However, only 50 percent attendance will have to be maintained at a time.
