According to reports, the Railways is preparing to run the train on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah route in the next 4 years as per the demand. This will benefit you from the mess of waiting list. Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav has given information about this.
However, he said that this will happen only after the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) is constructed by 2021. By 2021, after the construction of the freight corridor, the goods trains will be removed from the rail lines. It will be beneficial that more trains will be run on these rail lines.
Yadav further explained that the work on the freight corridor dedicated to North-South (Delhi-Chennai) East-West (Mumbai-Howrah) and Kharagpur-Vijayawada is going on. Also, told that within a year, the work of another location survey will also be completed. He told that the length of DFC will be around 6,000 km and its work will be completed in 10 years. VK Yadav said that as soon as this work is completed, after that we will have more capacity and with this, we will be able to run more trains.
