Czech IOC member presented the idea of ​​celebrating World Olympic Day

Czech IOC member Dr. Grasse presented the idea of ​​celebrating World Olympic Day at the 41st session of the International Olympic Committee in Stockholm, Sweden, inviting a day to celebrate everything related to the Olympic campaign.

The idea was adopted at the 42nd IOC Session in St. Moritz, Switzerland, a few months later, in January 1948. The National Olympic Committees were put in charge of the event. Also, this date became a memorable moment in the history of the Olympic campaign.
