When the shepherd noticed that the cattle are not weaning enough milk for his trade, he tried to find the reason for it, and when he did, he decided to cut down the tree.
When he started hitting the tree, he saw that there was something unusual for anyone to believe as the tree had started to bleed milk from where he had struck.
Leaving the tree uncut, the shepherd ran off the hill, and when he was sleeping in his house, he saw a dream in which the tree warned him of the consequences of striking it.
After this, the shepherd acknowledged the people of the village about the dream, and they created a temple of Lord Bhairava on the hill to compensate for the deed done by the shepherd.
After this incident, various other incidents also proved the presence of supernatural power around the hill.
The Bhairav Garhi and Langurgarh are located at two different peaks in the Kirtikhal village of Uttarakhand. Both temples are situated at the Langur Parvat.
The track to both temples is separated by a distance of 2 kilometres. The track to these temples is both hectic and exciting for any individual around the globe.
Every year thousands of people visit this place. The special appearance is made by the youth, who sets up the tents on the Langur hills and enjoys the difficult terrain of the temples.
