Apple Crumb Pie: Try this Delicious Recipe at Home

Ingredients:

9-inch pie shell (baked and cooled)

8 golden apples (peeled and cut into pieces)

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cinnamon

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 1/2 cups cinnamon crumb topping

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Place the oven rack on the middle shelf. Line a baking sheet with foil.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, both sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

3. Peel the apple and cut it into small pieces and keep it in a big bowl. You should get about 8 cups of chopped apples (1000 grams or 2 pounds).

4. Toss the apple pieces well with the sugar mixture. And now place it in the prepared pie pan.

5. Crunch the crumb topping with your fingers and cover the apple with a large clamp of crumb mixture.

6. Place the pie on the lined foil. Bake on the middle rack for 45-55 minutes. Keep in mind that it has to be roasted till the apples are cooked and crumb toasted. Keep a close watch on the pie at the 45th minute. If it starts to brown quickly, you may have to cover it with a pie shield.

7. Now keep on the cooling rack for at least one hour. This pie is served hot. To heat, keep in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
