The delegation includes Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, AK Antony, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Priyanka Gandhi, and many more Congress leaders.

Congress party will meet the President at around 11.30 am today

The delegation of the Congress party will meet the President at around 11.30 am today. For the meeting, the Congress party had written a letter to the President asking him for time. During the meeting with President Ram Nath Kovind, the Congress delegation will hand over a memorandum related to the facts of the incident. Significantly, Congress has been accusing the government of this issue from the beginning. At the same time, there is a continuous protest from Congress regarding the matter.

In fact, Congress is adamant on the demand to sack Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The Congress alleges that the Union Minister is trying to save his son by using his position.

Significantly, the last Ardas was organized on Tuesday for the farmers killed in the Lakhimpur violence. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi also attended the Ardas program.
