England's cricket club Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has confirmed to visit Pakistan next month and play a series of T20 matches there. MCC's President Kumar Sangakkara will captain the team on this tour. In 2009 there was a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team bus attack and Sangakkara was also a part of the team at that time. MCC has announced a 12-member squad for the tour of Pakistan next month. The team's captaincy will be in the hands of Kumar Sangakkara for the T20 series to be held in Lahore.

MCC was planning for this tour for a long time. John Stephenson, the club's assistant secretary said, "We are very excited to announce a strong team for this tour. This team has a mixture of both youth and experience which makes it a strong team of high quality. We welcome this supportive behavior of Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan Super League. Because of this, we are getting a chance to create a new program before the PSL so that all those players included in it will get benefits."

The MCC team will play two T20 matches on the tour of Pakistan and will also play the T20 match with the Pakistan home team. During the series, the MCC club will face two PSL teams Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultan. Veteran all-rounder Ravi Bopara has been included in the MCC team. At the same time, three players from Warwickshire have been included in the team.
