The dates and matches for the 2019 world cup have been officially announced by ICC. This World cup will be the 12 edition of Cricket world cup and will be hosted by England and Wales. The Cup will begin from 30 May 2019 and will come to an end by 14 July 2019 as 10 teams will be a part of this cup.

As per the announcement made by the Cricket Council, the first match will be held between England and South Africa in The Oval, in London. However, India will play its first match June 5 against South Africa, in Hampshire Bowl, in South Hampton. And the final match will be held at the Lords in London.

The World Cup is available to all teams from the International Cricket Council (ICC), despite the fact that the most noteworthy positioning groups get the programmed capability. The rest of the groups are resolved by means of the World Cricket League and the ICC World Cup Qualifier.

A sum of twenty groups have contended in the eleven releases of the competition, with fourteen contending in the most recent version in 2015; the following version in 2019 will have just ten groups.

However, many controversies have been sparked post the Pulwama attack, as many Indian players and BCCI asked for a boycott of any match between India and Pakistan. But in a press meet held in Dubai, ICC rejected the call and made sure that matches will go as planned despite the relations among the two neighboring countries. So, a match between the two countries will be held on 16 June in Manchester.
