Know Everything about Toyota Glanza before its Launch

Toyota Glanza's Spy Photos have already become viral on the internet. In such a case, it is also informed that it is a Toyota badge car of Maruti Suzuki Baleno. However, before launching on 6th June, AutocarIndia has shared information about the Upcoming Glanza engine options, variants, features and mileage.

Variants:

If we talk about the variants of Glanza, it will be only transmitted in two variants- G and V. The G variant will be based on Baleno Zeta, while V variants Baleno's top model will be based on Alpha. Also combinations of all the engine-gearboxes can be seen in it. Four versions of Toyota Glanza will be present in the offer- G, G CVT, V and V CVT.

Engine option:

Two BS6-compliant petrol engine options will be available with this car. The first engine will be a 1.2-liter K12B unit, which will generate 83hp power and 113Nm pickup torque. There will also be a 1.2-liter K12C DualJet engine with a Mild-Hybrid System. This dualjet engine will be slightly power-efficient from K12B. These engines will generate 90hp of power and 113Nm pickup torque.

Just like Baleno, the DualJet Smart Hybrid engine will only get lower 'G' manual variants. If we talk about the Glanza's gearbox options, it will provide both 5-speed manual and CVT options. However, the option of CVT will be found only in the K12B-engined G and V variants.

Mileage:

According to the information received, Toyota Glanza V MT's mileage 21.01kmpl, G MT (Smart Hybrid) mileage 23.87kpl and CVT mileage will be 19.56kpl. This mileage figure is similar to Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

Difference between G and V's features:

Talking about the features of Toyota Glanza, it includes Auto Climate Control, a Height Adjustable Driver Seat, a 7.0-inch Touchscreen System with Bluetooth Connectivity, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Navigation and Voice Command Function, Dual Airbags, ABS with EBD, Features like rear parking sensor, dual-tone alloy wheel, steering mounted audio controls and push-button start. Like Baleno, Glanza's G and V variants will have very little difference.

If we speak about the Variants Exclusive Features, you will find a slightly different LED treatment for UV-cut glass, LED DRLs for headlights and tail lamps. There will also be a leather steering wheel, auto headlights with follow me function and a reverse camera.

Since this Maruti is based on Suzuki's Baleno, its price can be priced at Rs 8 lakh for entry level G MT variant, while its top variant V CVT can cost 9 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). That is, the estimated cost is more than Rs 10,000-14,000 in comparison to Baleno's variants. The only special difference here will be the long standard warranty.

Toyota Glanza will be competing with Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and Upcoming Tata Altroz in the Indian market.
