Under the Mukhymantri Tirath Yatra Yogana, the Delhi government will also undertake a visit to the Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib. The Delhi government will bear the entire expenditure on the journey. For this, the Delhi-Amritsar-Wagah border route has been extended to Shri Anandpur Sahib.

The proposal was approved by the Delhi Cabinet on Friday. Chief Minister Kejriwal said after the approval of the cabinet that it has been sent to the Revenue Department to work on the specifics of the proposal so that registration can start soon.

The Chief Minister tweeted that Delhi Government has taken a historic decision on the occasion of 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev. Under the Mukhyamantri Tirath Yatra Yogana , now the elders of Delhi will be provided  darshan of Kartarpur Sahib. Another person will also be able to accompany an elder. The Delhi government will bear all the expenses of carrying, lodging, returning passengers and their food and drink

Kejriwal said that some things are to be decided between the Government of India and Pakistan regarding the Kartarpur Corridor. The cabinet has approved the route extension and sent it to the revenue department for further action, from where registration will be opened after all things are decided.
