Because of this, Indians voted for the Conservative Party. Due to the Kashmir issue, we have won at least 10 seats.

PM Boris Johnson has said that he has now got a new mandate from which he will be able to implement the Brexit separating Britain from the European Union.

Election Campaign done for Conservative Party

The UK election was important this time because overseas Indians played a big role in it. There were speculations that British Hindus would vote for the Conservative Party this time. In fact, the Pravasi of Britain is also against the Indian Labor Party because Jeremy Corbyn made anti-India statements on Kashmir. A group of Indian origin people were campaigning for 'Pro India' candidates. The group campaigned for 40 seats, most of which were from the Conservative Party.

Assurance of Safety of Indians

Last Saturday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived at the Swami Narayan Temple in London. Saturday was the 98th birthday of Swami Maharaj, the head of the Swami Narayan sect. On this occasion, Prime Minister Johnson said, "There is no scope for racism or anti-India atmosphere in this country (Britain)". Prime Minister Johnson also mentioned 'anti-Hindu' and 'anti-India' sentiments and expressed concern over it.

In a special interview to 'India Today', Prime Minister Johnson said, 'We will protect the British Indian community in every situation. We will not allow the kind of discrimination, worries and prejudices that arise from mutual disputes in the world. Prime Minister Johnson mentioned the Indian community's participation in Britain's 6.5 per cent of GDP and said that 2 per cent of the contribution is from Indians.
