Karan Johar’s Takht, to Hit the Floor in February 2020

It was in August 2018 that Karan Johar declared his most driven venture ever – Takht. An epic period show that brags of an excellent star cast including Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor. As far back as its amazing declaration a year ago, everyone's eyes are on this artful culmination. Be that as it may, it's been more like a year since Karan Johar broke the news yet the creators are yet to start chipping away at the much-anticipated film. Also, passing by the most recent reports, the fans should hold up somewhat longer as the film will go on floors in February 2020.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the period dramatization that spins around an epic fight for the position of authority will take off ahead of schedule one year from now.

A source told the day by day, "The film kicks off in February with a start-to-finish schedule. Being a period film, the technical team is presently focused on the sets and locations and the script while also deciding on the diction and mannerisms of the characters. Work on the visual effects will take place simultaneously with the shoot so the film is ready on time."

The report further proposes that Karan Johar will host acting workshops for the cast to take a shot at their style and non-verbal communication to get their subtleties right. "Everyone has a distinct look. While Anil will have to put on some extra kilos, Ranveer and Vicky will have to look lean and mean," included the source.

It is said that Takht is a story of two warring siblings battling it out for the position of royalty. While Vicky and Ranveer will play the siblings in the period dramatization, Kareena Kapoor Khan will exposition the job of their sister.

"Every character has been inspired by history and since Ranveer has dabbled in the genre a few times in the past, from playing Peshwa Bajirao to Allauddin Khilji, the goal is to make him look different from what he has already done," included the source.

Prior, discussing his coordinated effort with Karan Johar for Takht, Ranveer Singh told Femina, "I have always wanted to collaborate with Karan Johar and he offered me a brilliant part in a killer story. It's unlike anything I have done before and I saw the potential to make something noteworthy out of it."

Karan Johar had before uncovered that the film will hit the screens on 2020, yet passing by the most recent reports, it appears the arrival of Takht will be pushed to 2021.
