Kanhaiya Kumar targeted the central government over the arrest of JNU scholar Sharjeel Imam, accused of making inflammatory speeches. Kanhaiya Kumar, former president of JNU Students Union, said that the government is distributing treason cases like Prasad of Satyanarayana Bhagwan. Kanhaiya Kumar, while referring to the controversial speech of Union Minister Anurag Thakur, said that if the case was filed against Sharjeel, why was there no sedition case filed against Anurag Thakur for making such a statement.
Kanhaiya Kumar will start the Save Constitution Citizenship Rally from Bihar's capital Patna from Thursday.
