Kane Williamson, BJ Watling Return as NZ Announces Squad for WTC Final against India

A 15-man squad has been announced for the final, which includes the names of Captain Kane Williamson and wicketkeeper BJ Watling.

New Zealand has announced its squad for the ICC World Test Championship final against India to be played in Southampton, England. At the same time, a 15-man squad has been announced for the final, which includes the names of Captain Kane Williamson and wicketkeeper BJ Watling. Meanwhile, both were ruled out of the squad due to injury before the second match against England.

Both experienced players are available for the WTC final. On the other hand, New Zealand's team has reached Southampton from Birmingham to play the final match. After the team's arrival, the team's coach Gary Stead said, "Kane and BJ have certainly benefitted from their week of rest and rehabilitation and we expect them to be fit and available for the final. Playing in a World Cup Final is a really special occasion and I know the guys are looking forward to getting into their work here in Southampton."

New Zealand left out 5 players from the squad:

Meanwhile, the team has left out five players from their 20-man squad, including Doug Bracewell, Jacob Duffy, Daryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra and Mitchell Santner. Earlier, Tom Blundell was included in the playing XI after wicketkeeper Watling was ruled out of the second Test against England due to injury. Meanwhile, he has also been retained in the 15-man squad announced for the final against India. He is included in the team as a backup wicketkeeper.
